Within this unique and complex business model in Vietnam, Finance talents at BAT are motivated to develop and stretch their functional knowledge as well as their engagement and leadership skills to a superior level. This environment provides a unique learning and development opportunity for aspiring Finance professionals, as well as mid-career Finance looking for new career challenges.
BAT remains my only full-time employer since my graduation 7 years ago. Starting as a Management Trainee, I have had numerous rotations and opportunities in and outside of Vietnam from Operations Finance, Corporate Finance to Commercial Finance. BAT enabled my professional growth through exposure in different countries (Cambodia & UK) or leading my remote team in Malaysia. Wherever you are, you are backed by a high-performance leadership team with a strong sense of ownership and empathy.
I am blessed to be a part of such an inclusive working environment and nonstop transformation journey that BAT upholds.
Nguyen Minh Hien – Commercial Finance Director
I joined BAT in 2013 as a financial accounting executive and since then I have been advancing through a series of 2 promotions and 5 rotations where I am currently in the Marketing Finance Team.
It is not every global corporation who offers its employees all the latest platforms, encouraging learning, freedom working environment and most importantly working and celebrating success together. But this is a primary part of BAT’s signature offering: it provides a full set of support, coaching, guidance, motivations, and opportunities to help me thrive in my career and bring out the best of me.
One of the things that I have been enjoying the most while working at BAT is that it never stops challenging status quo as in BAT we all well-perceived that the world keeps changing and so does business context. And the diversity of a team plays a crucial part in bringing the abilities to fully forecast and evaluate potential changes with agile and dynamic mindsets, to steer the business wheels.
