Corporate Communications and CSR Director
"Working at BAT, every day I open my mind and heart a little more to take care of both my business and community.”
I joined BAT in 2015 as Corporate Communications and CSR Director. So, I will not speak about my cross-functional experiences and stick instead to my diverse approaches in the area that I am in charge of. I am currently under Legal and External Affairs (LEX), which plays the role of gatekeeper protecting the reputation of the business and company.
At Corporate Communications, a key function at many multinationals, we manage the information flows both internally and externally. It is a very important task as it will impact on how external stakeholders, employees and the public perceive a company.
In addition, my team builds and sustains the company’s reputation through the CSR activities. This, for me, is the most exciting part of my job. As a major international business, we have long been aware of our responsibility to contribute to communities where we operate. At heart of it, we have partnered with media, and NGOs to drive our efforts with many meaningful CSR projects such as sustainable agriculture, gender equality and microfinance, etc. to farmers to help them improve their living standards and knowledge.

British American Tobacco is one of the world’s most international businesses and many of its Group companies have their own websites.
